The Seahorse Guest House is both home and business to the Grey Family – Sandra, Phillip, Emily and Benjamin.
We acquired the Seahorse in 2012 and, immediately began to put our stamp on it. Having travelled extensively both as a family and for business, we knew exactly what our guests needed to feel comfortable. Much of what is now available at the Seahorse is exactly what we always looked for when staying in Guesthouses.
Great Yarmouth is Nelson country and research revealed that Nelson joined the Navy aged 12 under the patronage of his Uncle, Maurice Suckling. He quickly learned about navigation, seamanship and how a warship was run before being posted to HMS Seahorse, a frigate sailing to the East. This was the beginning of Nelson’s adventure – and naming our establishment ‘The Seahorse’ was the beginning of ours.
In recent years’ we have been proud to receive the Spirit of Enterprise Award for our outstanding customer service. This was based on feedback from our customers and means a lot to us. We will continue to keep the Seahorse ‘Ship Shape’ and will constantly strive to give our customers the best service possible.
